Go bilingual

Turn on Hebrew alongside English - properly right-to-left, not just translated labels.

3 min read

Why this matters

The whole product follows the language setting - admin, storefront blocks, popup, emails, SMS and unsubscribe pages - with proper right-to-left layout throughout. Getting the country and timezone right matters too, because they drive phone formatting and when scheduled messages actually send.

What you'll need

  • A decision on which language(s) to run
  • 5 minutes

Steps

1

Set your business language

Switch the whole product - admin, storefront blocks, popup, emails and SMS - to English or Hebrew, per business.

2

Check right-to-left rendering

Layout flips properly everywhere, including per-paragraph direction in the email editor and correct bidi rendering in SMS.

3

Set your country

It drives phone formatting - Israeli formats are handled specially, including local formats like 050-123-4567.

4

Confirm currency and timezone

Currency follows your store automatically, and SMS or birthday sends go out at the right local hour, not a fixed UTC time.

5

Preview as a member would see it

Check the popup, storefront blocks and one email before you announce the switch.

Tip

If you sell in both languages, test an SMS in Hebrew specifically - it's the trickiest place for bidi rendering to go wrong.
